Kostal is another nice place in the area around Lovosice. It is a basalt rock called Kostal and a castle ruin Kostalov on the top of it, located southwestward of Lovosice. The castle was established about 1372 as it results from historical documents. In 1422 the fort has been besieged by Hussits. Nowadays the visitors can see a part of ancestral three-storey rectangle palace, tetrahedral castle court and remains of ramparts in the east.
